Treats

My kids will pretty much do anything for a treat, and vice versa......they won't get off the couch unless there's a lolly type incentive. Very sad but unfortunately true. Actually it doesn't necessarily have to be a lolly as such, but something (like inflatable world, a party, bike ride, DVD). So they'll basically ignore me unless I say say 'if you do this, you can have this.' It drives me nuts and it's something I'm trying desperately to change.

In saying that, here's some treats/rewards they've had lately.

A drink at Athletics for good behaviour (they try and earn one every week and so far out of about 10 times going this is the first time they've scored)
This is Ella's bestie from Kindy, Maioha. Her big sister does the races so these two run around as thick as thieves every wednesday night

I explained to Daddy Joe a long time ago that when Grandie used to go away for work he'd always bring something special back for the family, KFC, pizza, fizzy....just a little something for us to look forward to, as well as having Dad back of course. Last week Daddy Joe went to Hamilton for work and when he got home this is what he pulled out of his bag for the girls. You should have seen their smiles when they woke up and saw them on the bench!

Because he was away for 2 nights I said we'd have one dinner at home and a treat dinner wherever they chose. Of course we ended up down at McDs for dinner and a play. Doesn't get much better than that when you're 1, 3 or 5!
