It was so cool to teach them something they've never heard about before, because so often our lessons are about sharing, prayers, being honest, using kind words, the life of Jesus type things, which they've kind of heard about before, more or less. This one had totally new things that they heard of for the first time in the lesson so it made for a very captive audience....just they way I like it.
There were little explanations of each part but they were a bit to advanced for us so I had to re-write them to make them easier for the girls to understand (and Faith to read). They can have to other version in about 3 or 4 years!
Everytime I think about all of this, I'm just so grateful that I know there is a plan....we're not just randomly here, living with no purpose, only to die and that's the end.
It's soooooo reassuring and comforting to know that there is so much purpose to this life. It all counts! We can be together forever!!!!!! My husband will be mine forever, I will always be my baby's Mummy. Death, although it seems unbearable and so final, is but a moment. It doesn't stop the tears for missing my Mumma sometimes, but it does help me to keep plodding on cause I'm so excited to see her again!!!!
After I taught the lesson, I did a quiz for the kids and if they could answer their question, they got to choose a lolly. I love how after 3 lollies all is right in the world of a little kid! |
(And on a side note, I had a dream that Mum came over to our house the other night and looked after Dallin in the lounge for the night so I could have a full night's sleep in bed. I remember thinking at the time, this is so cool, I've never seen Mum with my children before, so I kept looking at her and smiling and she kept smiling back at me while she was rocking Dallin to sleep.....dreams don't get any better than that :)
Wow, that's the coolest dream alright!! We just taught the boys the plan of salvation last week as well :)
