My gorgeous Rainbow Brite

I keep finding rainbows lying around the house....and I absolutely love it. They bring a smile to my face every time I happen upon one, especially if I'm not having a super great day. How could you not smile when you see a cute little rainbow drawn so carefully by a 4 year old.

A couple of times Bobby asked me to help her draw the outline of the rainbow, but then after heaps of practise at home and kindy, she's graduated to doing it from start to finish on her own. And she even thought to make one into a puzzle like the wooden rainbow puzzle she likes at kindy.

She's so patient and careful with her colouring in, I love it. Kind of reminds me how she used to line up things (buttons, crayons, stickers) all the time from when she was really young.....always thinking about their shape, size, colour. My girl is such a visual learner.

So now her name's Rainbow Brite, who I thought was a carebear, but I just googled the name and it turns out Rainbow Brite was a character created by Hallmark cards in the 80s that was turned into a TV programme. I think I was really thinking of Cheer Bear from the Carebear family.

Cause I've been calling her Rainbow Brite for the last few days and she loves it, I'll stick with that....and maybe buy her the Cheer Bear for Christmas.

And Aunty Nae had a fabulous idea today.....a Rainbow party for her 5th Birthday. Sounds perfect!

Pics of my little Rainbow Brite!
A spot of toenail painting on the deck while Seth and Dallin were asleep one day last week. She loves it when they go down for their afternoon sleep and I let her get out the makeup or nail polish

A mid week afternoon movie.....Step up 5. A treat for a whole week of no wee in her sleepy nappy
(Step up 3 is one of her fav movies ever so I knew she'd like it)

Going to kindy with her sissy's 5th birthday hat...feeling pretty proud of it

She got new shoes earlier in the week and persuaded me to let her wear them to kindy 'just once Mum I promise!!!'

Was this top made for Ella or what?!?!?!

'This is my Rainbow Mum'

One of her favourite books, surprise surprise!
