School's Out for Summer!

Pics from the last week of school :( Sad it's over for the year, but I'm secretly super excited to have my Faithy at home every day for 6 weeks.
Taking the class mascot back after having him for the night. Stevie was such a hit at our place!

Wacky hair and PJ day. Wacky hair was a pretty feeble effort but all I could manage with everyone at home and without being late. A few christmas bells in her hair and she was happy

Kinda weird to turn up at school to pick up your kid wearing PJs
Summerland Celebration of Excellence Evening at St Dominics College

This cutie got the award for Sports Achievement. So proud of her!
(And Stella got it for Summerland Spirit)

The book she chose as her prize...a funny little comic kinda book?!?!?!

Bits and pieces this clever year 1 star brought home.....

A terrible excuse for handwriting!

Better

Love this little acrostic poem with her name that I found floating on some paper between her books.
Right on my baby!

LOVE the home learning programme. Already excited to see the activities we can do next year

A pic of her doing some science experiments. She's loved anything science since she was chosen for the Science Academy in Term 1. Love how she called me in to the bathroom all excited a few weeks ago. She was shouting out 'Mum, Mum, quick, this is science!' When I got in there it was to see the bubbles on her hands from the soap!

Kyky? Spence?

Schools out....yeeyah!

Time for some Christmas shopping for Seth and Ella

We love the price checker at the Warehouse and Kmart. How did I ever live without it?!?!?! Lucky she knows how to use it cause she's so wanted to get her brother a remote control car and I kept trying to talk her out of it thinking they'd be $50+. She wouldn't give it up though and said she'd check all the boxes she could find. Finally she ran up to me with one shouting 'Mum, it says $12. Can I get it?' Sure honey and I'm sure your brother will love it!

And there you have it. Year 1 done.
On to Mrs Lord's class next year. Room 5.Year 2. Piha Pod. Red t-shirt.
Looking forward to no school drop offs/pick ups, and having Firi at home with me and my other babies (and Daddy Joe soon too. Woohoo!!!!!!!)

Ella Deseret's Special Day

I love having one on one time with my babies. It's so rare, but when it happens I think I get as excited as they do. Last Friday was Ella's special pre-christmas date. It was going to start off by me watching her play 'Joy' in the Kindy Christmas Show, but plans changed during the week and she ended up coming with me to Sister Perry's funeral :(

Then it was off to Mini Golf which she'd been so looking forward to for about 6 weeks beforehand. (I'm at a loss now for what to use as her consequence for a bad bedtime. I was able to use 'you'll lose Mini Golf if you muck around' for so long! And I used that for a few weeks with her staying in her primary class as well. What am I gonna do now?!?!?!)

I think she was a little like 'is this it? Is this what I've been so excited about for so long?' But after a few holes we got into the swing of things and she really did love it.

Then we shot in to McDs and on to Kmart so she could do her christmas shopping
(1 present each for Seth and Faith)
'Mum, can I have this and this and this and this and this?'
'This is so cool, can I get it one day?'
'I would really love to have this'
Must have been amusing for other people to see her ask for everything she saw...literally!....and my replies were just as quick as the requests.....'Maybe one day, not today, that's a bit too expensive, we've already got one like that, that's too noisy'

I think this was her first time every trying something on  in a changing room and that was pretty exciting in itself.

For Seth she chose 4 dinosaurs, such an awesome present for him. And for Faith we struggled a bit because they don't make bey blades anymore. Eventually we found a cool calender at Smiggle, but Bobby liked it so much that she didn't want to buy it for Faith! She wanted it for herself and when I said 'No', she didn't want to get it at all. Kind of stink to end our day with this grumpy face. Lucky she changed her mind when I said if she didn't choose a present for Faith, she'd lose one of her own presents. So calendar it was! Hope she likes if more than Anne Geddes aye Aunty Nae....on the way home I thought 'oh no, a calendar, she might do a disappointed face and hate it!'
