Stuff Lately x 14

I keep finding that people are shocked when we're out and I ask Ella or Faith to hold Dallin.  They needn't worry though, my big girls are so good with their baby sissy. Ella tippy toeing to put Dallin in the highchair was a bit dodgy though. She came into me in the lounge without her and said 'oh, she's alright, I put her in the highchair'. Don't think Dallin liked it!

Turns out none of the passport photos I took were good enough so we had to spend about 40 minutes at Warehouse Stationery trying to get more. She was over it by the time we got outta there. Will put it on the blog when it comes back.

Ella after going to her first friend's birthday party, up at Kiwi Valley Farm. Daddy Joe had all the girls there for a few hours and they loved it....as did he. 

I always cook our sunday dinner and whatever it is (usually Roast Chicken), it's ready to eat within 15 mins of getting home from church. It's a big tricky with afternoon church but I've got it down to a fine art. Since  I put in so much effort for dinner, I've assigned my hubby dessert duty. So on a sunday night when the kids are in bed he has to make us a pudding. So far we've had ice-cream sundaes, peach sponge, caramel self saucing puddings and last week it was apricot pulp pastries. Another reason to look forward to sundays

Yay, Aunty Natty and the boys are finally back in Akl

Pretty cool to look after these two lil' rippers...Once the Hekes were in bed it was cool to chill out watching a movie with them. Jordy kept saying he was saving a seat for me and Hairdresser Kyky was on form with the 50 new clips Ella had gotten that day

So cute when I walked back in the room and saw this....

When I showed her Dad he said 'Cool, but I hope he didn't try and clip it on her head!!!' No, he just had it perched there

Can't help wrapping this angel snug as a bug every time she goes to bed, but I always find her like this when I sneak into the room to spy on her. And she might be graduating to the cot soon :(

Kyky's 3rd birthday....Kid's Kingdom Partay!!!

Oh my goodness, what a day!
We just got home from Kyky's party at Rainbow's End. So fun to have all the little cuzzies running around having rides together all afternoon. Even Seffy got to have turns on some rides which he was pretty chuffed about. As usual, I go to these places when I'm pregnant, so for the 3rd time I was a spectator :(
(I went to Seaworld, MovieWorld and Wet 'n Wild when I was 26 weeks pregnant with Ella and then Seaworld again when I was 36 weeks pregnant with Seth)
No worries though, it's cool to watch the kids have a blast....as you can see in the beaming smiles below

Faith was just tall enough for this, Mac didn't quite make it and I felt bad that he was going to get turned away cause I couldn't go on it with him, but then the guy said Faith could be the 'adult' with him

Ella had a box full of chips and mini hot dogs and then she lifted the lid and started stashing heaps of lollies on top

Why do the birthday kids always get grumpy for the special cake moment?

Sethy just chillin' out while cuzzy Spence took him around the track in his cute little truck.   They did it for 5 times in a row.....it would finish, all the kids would get off and Spence would just stay there. I kept getting up and asking if he'd had enough and he'd just say 'no, the man said I can do it for longer'

Disney on Ice & FHE tonight

Today we had such a cool day! Faith and I got to go on a family/cuzzy date to Disney on Ice in the big smoke. I was just as excited as Faith cause I'm not really a concert/event goer (not that I don't want to be!).

We walked down to the Willoughby's house and went into town with them and met up with Mac and Aunty Nae. The show was amazing. Faith was glued to it pretty much the entire time and it was cool that she knew most of the storylines of the movies that they covered. I was thinking that over the next few weeks when we go down to get our $1 movies from the shop, we should get the ones we saw today. When we got home, Daddy Joe had already taken Ella to choose a movie as her special treat and she'd chosen 'Tangled'. Perfect choice for us as Rapunzal had closed the show today. I think we've watched it 4 full times this afternoon, no kidding!

Tonight we had FHE about 'Jesus said love everyone....' That's what we did for our lesson yesterday in Nursery so I thought I'd reinforce it for Ella (Yes, that's right I'm in Nursery now....more on that another day!)

We started with our usual opening exercises. Here's a little photo diary of how our night went.

I was taking photos of the girls while we were waiting for their Dad to finish texting on his phone. He's not meant to have his phone with him during FHE!

Seffy's usually grumpy and tired for FHE so he stays with us for the lesson then goes to sleep while we do an activity.

The conductor of FHE always sits or stands up by the TV, more often than not the girls do it together

Each child gets to choose a fun song after our church song. Seffy's one tonight was popcorn popping

Ella always chooses 'rumble down the track' which is a song from Summerland Kindy.

You walk around singing a song about a train and pick up carriages (people) as the song goes on. She thought it was so funny that she got Seth in her train

Only lasted about 3 seconds and then they ended up like this

When it was Faith's turn to choose her song she got all boggly and said she wanted to do tricks from the Disney on Ice show, so she pretended to skate around the room and do twirls like the princesses we saw today

Our activity tonight was to practise counting by adding rain and clouds to the umbrella picture. (If there was a 4 on the umbrella you were meant to add 4 cotton balls for clouds and 4 counters for the rain).

Faith was very very good at it

Ella struggled, not because she can't count, but because she always likes to have more than someone else!!!

I love Mondays. It's the one night I know Daddy Joe will be at home, and it's fun to learn and play together. It's happens every week for us no fail (almost) and I think the kids love it too.
