Peshel Deppy

Lately this kid must say 'peshel?' about a thousand times a day. That means 'give me me something special pretty pretty please!' (special meaning a lolly of any description). It's the first word he says in the morning and the last word he says at night....literally!

Sometimes he gets it, sometimes he doesn't. When he does, his face beams and he starts shaking his fists cause he's so excited. When he doesn't he drops his head and bottom lip, and walks away whimpering, usually into the arms of Ella who consoles him cause he's got such a mean Mum. And sometimes it can take ages for him to come back and be my friend again. When he finally jollies up around me, it's inevitably not long before we go through it all again....peshel? peshel? peshel? Lollies on the brain that boy!

On our little outing to the Fresh Choice today to buy boring old tinfoil his eyes lit up when we walked down this aisle. It was better than Christmas morning for my little man
Peshel Mum?

No Son.....saddy pants

Peshel?

Peshel?

Sorry Son. No Peshel's on this outing.
He's a regular motor mouth these days and I love it so much that I often ask him questions just to hear his cutesy little voice.

Daddy erk Mum (Dad's at work Mum)

Daddy eeting (Dad's at a meeting Mum)

Diss Barney Mum, Diss Ehbunt Mum, Diss Giga Mum (Kiss Barney, Elephant, Tiger Mum, our evening ritual.....he loves to sleep with his babies)

Boo b'larty (no one knows what this means yet, but the latest time he did it was when he was naked in the bathroom about to get into the bath and he was doing a little butt shake!)

Tinkle dar song (Twinkle Star Song)

Whenever I say something like 'where's your shoes son?' or 'who dropped the bowl of crackers?' he either says 'Ella did it' or 'Daddy did it'....Pretty fast to pass the buck is that boy!

And this cheeky little light-fingers stole a donut from Pak N Save on saturday much to my horror and embarrassment. I'd bought him and his big sissy a donut each which they sat and ate while I packed the groceries. He didn't last on the chair long....typical! I thought he'd run back to look at the fish tank, but as it turns out he'd run back through the checkouts to the bakery and came out with a new donut in his mouth....flippn heck Son!

Love having this little critter to myself (+ Dallin) on Mondays and Wednesdays. He's into movies like crazy at the moment (yuss!), so between watching Croods, Brave and Shrek, checking the mail a few times and riding the trike, our days are pretty sweet!

Seth's 2nd birthday

I can't believe my baby boy turned 2 yesterday. He's  definitely growing up too fast!!!!!!
Makes me so happy and sad at the same time.

Mumma packed him off to kindy for the day, which he wasn't really happy about....oops! But at least I gave him some little pressies before he left (slippers, car mat and puzzle). He's got a balance bike in the garage but we didn't bother getting it out cause it's pretty much cold to freezing every day at the moment.....Good old NZ....annoying!

My lovely friend Heidi came over unannounced and helped with some decorations

Pretty yum snickers slice cake (will post the recipe another day)

Definitely need some heating and lighting on the deck now that we can eat out there in winter

Firi with Aunty Naenae

No apron shot this time, a dressing gown one instead.....it was pretty cold on the deck!

And cause my sunny man is 2, here's 2 things I love about him.

1. Seffy is so so so happy and funny and cute and cheery....still so easy (95% of the time!)

2. He's learning to talk really well and I love that he has a little lisp and can't say s properly yet. I think my favourite is when you ask him 'how are you?' he always says 'good thank you'.

Was so funny today in sacrament when the youth sang their spiritual song for songfest coming up in a couple of weeks. Just as they finished and it went really quiet, he called out 'sit down!!!!'. Then I closed my eyes for a moment, not cause I was falling asleep, just thinking with my eyes closed and he goes 'Mum, wake up!!!' No such thing as a quiet voice aye son, but despite your loud voice at inopportune times, I still love to hear you talking.

Stuff Lately x6

Faith's first netball game was last night & she loved it. I didn't! It was a major fail taking 4 children to such an occasion. I'm trying to figure out how to make it better for next week, which means containing Seth aka dash!

She loved it and played so well. Maybe that was due to her experience with basketball last year, or maybe due to her fantastically sporty Mum who was such a star on the court back in the day. Haha
(If I had a dollar for every time someone asked 'do you play netball/basketball?' I'd be a rich lady!)

These 3 big brothers weren't interested in their little sister's games in the slightest. Too bad Seth couldn't join the brothers club....he loved watching what they were doing on their ipads (don't think they liked having him hang around like a bad smell though :(

And so begins many years standing on the netball court sideline with my 3 girlies. Just please get easier and more enjoyable to watch cause it was anything but that last night

In fact it was so bad that when Daddy Joe got home I excused myself to go on a solo date to Burger Fuel

Mummy and Dilly on our first morning walk....to Faith's Cross Country

I didn't really know how she'd do, but she did great....7th out of about 60 5 year old girls. Just behind her bestie, Stella

'Mum please do my hair like 'let it go' for kindy'
Translation, 'please do my hair like the girl off Frozen'

Evidence of Dallin's best day ever.....14th May 2014. She got my hopes up that I was making progress with her sleep routine.....unfortunately the next day was a disaster

On this day she even came out of her bassinet asleep and stayed that way for school drop off and pick up.
Yeeyah Dallin...do it more often please

In a house of girls, what's a boy to play with? Hair ties and hairspray

A special pressie arrived from Aunty Jill in Christchurch and Ella was thrilled to bits to open it for Dallin

And last but not least, yesterday we had an uninvited and unwelcome house guest....

My two babies are both petrified of animals and this was no exception, but once they realised they could safely look at the dog through the glass, they never left this spot for about 2 hours. When the dog control man came to take it away they acted like I was giving away our beloved family pet. I'm sure that would've been a different story if I'd let it by them without being restrained.
