Seffy Sunny Man

This boy!!!! He does my head in at the moment....for all the right AND all the wrong reasons!

Up until this week, we've had children at school for 5 years and never been called by the principal. Thanks a lot Seth! Next time someone pinches you on the neck, don't fight back, just get an adult to help you :(

I don't recall the girls being so excited by losing teeth and having wigglies. Too bad the fairy around these ways is absolutely hopeless!

This boy is the best at coming home and telling me things he's done during the day.....this one was a hard one to describe but I finally understood what he was trying to say when I saw this pic on Seesaw

At the Daddy Joe barber shop

Another Seesaw gem. This kid loves his Friday afternoon pod minute to win it games

Spending time with Great Grandie

3x Cromwells

When he cut his finger last week (thanks to new craft knife blades coming out while I was at YW), there was way too much blood for him to stay at school when his Daddy bandage fell off. So off to Jump we went!

I taught in Faith's room last week so it meant I was at his pod minute to win it.....I think this cheesy grin shows how much he loves it

How long and bushy is this kids hair ?!?!?!!?
Doing his household job.....taking out the compost every afternoon

And the other part of his 'waste management boss' job.....taking out the recycling.

As much as I want this boy to grow up and mature into a bit of sensibility overnight, I just love how fun and energetic he is. Between smiling, running, throwing fits over not getting what he wants, climbing, turning on the hose, trying so hard to write....there's never a dull moment when he's awake.

And one last pic of something he just did for a home learning project. I think I'm gonna die with how cute his sounding out is!

Uncle Wiri's Weekend

On the first weekend in March we packed up late on Friday night to set of early on Saturday morning down to Oeo Marae for Uncle Wiri's headstone unveiling. We knew a huge 6-7 hour drive was ahead of us and all of us were happy to do it....happy to remember Uncle Wiri and spend time with his amazingly kind, welcoming, loving whānau x

Of course we couldn't drive directly past Mama's donuts without stopping in

How cool is the relaxed environment of a marae....so unique to NZ I reckon. You've gotta experience it sissys!

Semi-competitive nieces + nephews versus parents

Grandies

The local public pool in Manaia. If all of the 'Wiri' people weren't there, there would've probably been 2 other people

Love small town NZ. Cows/farms right in the middle of houses/schools/four square

Look who Dall's fell in love with! Leesie put her to sleep without even trying

Ella with Mt Taranaki in the background

Teeny tiny little Manaia Branch

I just loved teaching these little critters about the sabbath day. And the lovely lady who looks after primary (her own 2 children) had the lesson all copied, toys, paper, snacks ready...just in case visitors came. How cool is that!

We're not sure when we'll make it down to Oeo Marae again, but we're definitely keen to have a special Wiri's weekend again next Feb/March. It will be cool to get together with his special people and remember him....with karaoke and good food probably!

Minute to win it Mayhem

Seth's really gotten into minute to win it challenges lately cause his pod do them every friday afternoon for their pod time.

Last week we invited the missionaries over for FHE which was really just treats and games.

We did m & m colour sorting, the one handed/blindfolded chopstix challenge and then the elders and Joe did a pull ups challenge. I don't have any pics of that, but it was pretty funny to watch them all strain and moan through a minute. Needless to say I didn't do that one. I'm pretty sure I can't even do one pull up!
