Weekend Stuff #2

We love Parakai! And we got to go on Saturday afternoon for a few hours, our reward for the Heke 'Good Behaviour Tokens' jar being filled. Entry is supposed to be $20 per adult and $10 for Faith (which I'd never pay, even though we love it), but on a grabone, all 5 of us got in for $30 and that included combo meals for 4 of us. Is that the deal of the century or what!!!!! What should have cost us $40 with no food, ended up costing us $30 with 4 fries, 2 hotdogs, 2 fish and 4 slushies. Will definitely be looking out for that bargain again....for our 3rd go at it!

The 3 kiddies clung to their Dad for most of the time in the big outdoor pool so I got to relax in the indoor hot pool, with a few random visits from the girls. Lucky me

Seffy and Dad straight in from 2 rides down the hydroslides

Doesn't get much better than that....in my humble opinion!

Chips and hotdogs were pushed aside so Ella could have a delicious dinner of tomato and tartare sauce

I think this was the first time Seth's seen the piano open so it was a whole new world for him. I bet he was thinking 'Wow, I thought this big wooden thing was just a photo holder!'

On Sunday evening we got invited out to the Christy's for a beautiful roast lamb dinner with home made lemon meringue pie. Delicious.....and all made by Bro Christy!!!

Always a fun time when we go up to their house and spend time together

Kindy Trip to the Zoo

Over the 2 and half years that we've been involved with Kindys and daycares, the kids have been on a few trips.....museum, beach, butterfly creek, the farm, the pet shop, Kelly Tarltons. Each time I have to fill in their permission form and sadly I always have to circle 'cannot help' because I've got one or 2 other children at home with me.

This week I decided that I would do Seth's trip to the zoo. Faith was going to be at school, Ella was going to be at Kindy, so it was going to be a special time for Seffy and I. At the last minute, I swapped Ella's kindy day so she went on Thursday and she was free to come with us....lucky ducky!

Seth's first trip to the zoo was so fun for me and Ella, Seth didn't overly enjoy it. Maybe it's better when they're 2.

Not off to a good start Seth

Stars Kindy friends

Seth's at a stink age to take out.....sorry son but it's true!

Little Bobby was brilliant, she followed or led the way and was happy the whole time :)

Oops, I let the pushchair go to look at the hippo with Ella, luckily he just ended up rolling off the path into shrubs

She was adamant she wanted to see the crocodiles (alligators actually) from the moment we got inside

And now that we're home she's got my jammie pants on and her dad's Warriors top for her rest time. Hopefully she'll konk out soon like her lil bro. On the way home we were talking to eachother about the animals we saw and she said 'Mum, can you stop talking, I'm full up of your talking' Got the message honey!
Must remember, a good starting age for the zoo is maybe 2 or definitely older than Seth. For him I think it was a boring walk around paths in a pushchair cause he couldn't see a lot of the things we were pointing too. Oh well, still a cool 1/2 family outing

Halloween 2013

Every year I hear about Trunk 'n treats and every year we don't go to one......

This year we did, and it was sooooo fun. Thanks Aunty Nae and Aeroview Ward for letting us join in. If Swanson Ward doesn't do it again next year we'll be back to crash your party!

Grandie back in action after 5 weeks down and out

Last time we saw Uncle Carl before he jetted off to the big smoke of Sydney

I can't believe I've been a Mum for 5 years and never used facepaint. It was so fun to use so I'm gonna get the rest of the colours for my collection and use them more often
