Stuff Lately x 18

The tooth fairy has been sooo slack around here. Poor Faith had to wait about 6 weeks to finally get her payment for 4 teeth. I couldn't let her down when this night I was checking on the girls before I went to bed and found that she'd put her tooth pillow out again still hoping for something in the morning. The squeals of joy in the morning were worth the 20 minutes it took me to find the cash the night before

A new Pak N Save opened up at Westgate and it was totally worth the drive up there......as usual with my little bakery lovin' girl

Aunty Nae and I went to Aunty Natty's to help her clear out before they moved to Australia.....was cool that we got to bring home books, toys, clothes and stuff. Look what those little critters had thrown ot of their playroom window!

Thanks Aunty Natty!!!!! Was like Christmas.....and I even saved some things and put them in the cupboard so they actually will be for Christmas!
Leaving Dinner for Aunty Natty and the boys on Aunty Nae's blog here

She slept on the ground like this for about 3 nights because she was so excited about her monkey sleeping bag. She'd probably still be doing it if I didn't insist she get back in her bed!

Dilly's first trip to Parakai....and first time ever in a pool

The Summerland Run4Fun that we went to last week was so awesome. I told the girls to walk by me cause there was so many people but of course they ran off straight away. Thankfully they stayed with the group and had a blast

My two lil walking buddies

By the time we got back Dallin was totally over it....she started screaming on the home stretch so I had to run them all the way back down Summerland Drive. Thankfully people could hear her distress and moved out of the way for the wide load to get through!

Mac after his primary presentation. Loved watching him and Pence up the front....Proud Aunty!!!

First time teaching in Faithy's room........so exciting for both of us

Amazing Weekend Getaway (break from the kids)

Having husband and wife time is super duper important to me.......one of the reasons why I've always made sure my babies sleep in their own beds and get down at a reasonable hour. I love to relax in the lounge with my hubby, when he's not at work late or out at a meeting which happens a fair bit.

Things have been a little strained for us lately and without going into details, Daddy Joe thought of something that might help. A weekend away at the Mt without our children....awesome!

So with the amazing help of Aunties and Uncles, everything came together and we spent 2 whole nights alone. No babies, no distractions, no demands that we usually face at home. Just what we needed.

The Halloween Grinch!!!! Only cause we were going away though, honest!

A whole day of alone time....sleep in, wandering the mall, watching a DVD, walking around the Mt, soaking in the hot pools, dinner in town. Sooooo good!

One of my all time fav lunches.....a filled french stick

We ended up watching this straight through once and then probably spent another hour skipping to funny bits to watch them again....loved it!

Missing Aunty Natty and the boys

Not sure what he was doing on his phone on our dinner date.....

I kept getting on to Instagram to re-look at pics of Dallin that Aunty Sarah was putting up

Medium rare? More like raw!!!! We had a little argument over whether this was ok or not to eat. I said no way, he said it was fine. It ended up being sent back to be cooked more. I don't think I've ever sent anything back but look at how raw that is!!!

For whoever goes to the caravan next, here it is....

Back to our babies at Fend Street

Took me 4 loads to get through all the washing over the next 3 days.....all worth it

Photos that Aunty Sarah put on IG while we were away. Must have had a quick squizz at them at least a hundred times

Didn't like the boys clothes?!?!?!

Heke Cuzzies at the Chartwell Ward Halloween Party

And just to finish off, it cracked me up how Faith said to her primary class when she shared some news.... 'I'm staying at my Aunty's house cause my Mum and Dad needed a break!!!!' Too true my love. It was so good to be away and so so good to get back to you and your brother and sisters.

FHE - Summerland Family Sports Night

Our awesome school does family sports nights on Mondays over Summer. How convenient!
We went up this week, not exactly sure what to expect but hoping for family fun. Turns out there was about 20 people there and we played soccer on the turf. Just Faith and I represented our family.....Daddy Joe was on kid duty at the playground.

Soooo much fun...apart from the pretty sore legs I've had for the last few days. Turns out playing soccer is quite hard on your thighs even though I've been running a few times a week for almost 3 months now.

I feel like everyone that doesn't go is missing out, but it was kinda cool that it was a fairly small group cause then you get to know people and it's pretty safe for the kids.

We'll definitely try and catch another one before school finishes up for the year.

And tomorrow we're heading up to the Summerland Run 4 Fun.....2.5km or 5km fun run/walk. I'd been so looking forward to doing the run, but now Daddy Joe's away for work so I'm thinking about doing it with the girls walking and Seth and Dallin in the pushchair. Love our school soooo much!

Didn't get a photo at the sports night so we quickly took one when we got home

Reese's slice for refreshments. Delish!
