Stuff Lately x26

Wearing a holter monitor for 24 hours to check on my heart...haven't heard back yet and that was about 3 weeks ago so assuming all good

I've tried (not a lot, but a few times) to teach Faith our phone number. She has zero interest in learning it so even though I wrote it on Vivid and put it under Ella's bed where she can see it every night, no joy. So I had to laugh when she started coming home with friend's numbers written down so she could call them to play Sumdog in the afternoons. After the first day of playing with a couple of people she had their number's memorized....Good one Faith!

Seems like so long ago but I really enjoyed Time Out for Women this year (not that I haven't in the past)....the speakers were great and having a day with Aunty Nae was awesome too....and catching up with Steph for lunch was a cool  surprise!

It's been a while since Jordy and Kyky joined us for FHE but I took this pic of Jordy when he was drawing a CTR shield to put on his door at home. He really got into it and said he'd put it up on the door so he could remember all the time to do the right things

My lovely team made this sign for me and gave me a big block of Choccie for my first day...how cool is that!

The girls in the afternoon if I want to stay and get a bit of work done. One day I made the mistake of leaving 6 jars of dye out that my class had been using. I thought the girls might enjoy doing a picture with it before I cleaned it up.....I'll never do that again! Thanks Ella for spilling green dye all over the carpet and painting it up your arms!!!!
Which reminds me, a week or 2 ago she came home with vivid writing up her arms, I couldn't work out what it said but it was definitely letters. Anyways, I asked her why she done that and she said someone accidentally put paint on her arms.....um nice try Ella, paint on your arms doesn't magically turn into letters. Sometimes she's so clever, sometimes so...NOT!

One of our yummiest treats at the moment (from Aunty Nae)
1C Rolled Oats
2/3 C Coconut
1/2 C Choc Chips
1tbsp Chia Seeds

1/3 C Honey
1/2 C Peanut Butter

Mix altogether and roll into balls (about 15-20)
Blurry, but why the heck is my daughter stripped off when she went to bed with a onesie, jammies and in a sleepsack?

Touche!

Madame Muck getting ready to go to Stella's 7th birthday party at Westwave and then back to their farm to play with their new piglets, horses and whatever else they have up there

A transformer type emergency vehicle at the airport carpark (fundraising)

This girl is a sucker for McDs toys, especially little girly sticker ones

Nursery at another ward with new friends (just about to have a standoff with the puzzle pieces is my Dalls)

Seth Clown Heke

After their first time fasting....they did so well, didn't even ask for snacks in sacrament when I got them out for Dallin and Seth. If it wasn't for lollies Ella got given in class they would have both waited until 12:45 to eat without even a scowl on their pretty little faces. So proud of them

Sunday arvo nail session....Ella's fave when the kids have their afternoon naps. She'd do this every day if I let her

Summerland Kapa Haka Performance

My little Maori girl....so proud to see her rep our culture. Just gotta convince her to be part of it again next year cause she loves it but she's getting over the 1 or 2 practises a week. And the latest song they've learnt is quite hard, and when things get a bit hard, Faith likes to give up!

Naya's 5th Party!

We loved a good ol' cuzzy party at the Flagstaff Chapel last week.

Anaya Bree, the last 2010 Heke quad turned 5 and now she's a big school girl. Ella and Naya are always joined at the hip when they're together. I feel kinda bad saying that Faith hasn't hung out with her a lot, simply because Ella goes straight to Naya (and the makeup!) and Faith goes straight to Riyan and scooters or dress ups or ipads these days. I'm so interested to see how the make up obsession with these girls turns out in the future....teenage years, church dances etc are gonna be interesting when we get there I'm sure.

We had sick kids in the lead up to the party, but that was Wednesday & Thursday, Friday was better, Saturday we were good to go....and go we did. All that way down to Hamilton, Mama's Donuts, the temple and the party.

Was so fun to play inside and out, on the bouncy castle, on bikes, not to mention getting awesome face paint

Fun to have the Leones and Grandie with us. So cool how our families often get together, it all adds to the cuzzy love!

Would love a bit of that rewana right now. Grandie had himself a few little rewana + chicken sandies

The 2008 Crew

The 2010 Quadtroublettes

Big day = over it. My Seffy conked out at about 4pm and that was pretty much him for the rest of the day. He'd woken at 4am that day and didn't sleep on the drive down, so it all caught up with him obviously

2018 will be another round of big birthdays for this motley crew.....Baptisms....yeeyah!!!!!!!
