Nursery Lessons/Games

For our lessons in Nursery, I have to be so so so basic that I can almost hardly believe it. But each week that goes by I feel like I'm getting better at presenting a lesson to 1 and 2 year olds.

Last week it went like this....

*Show pic of Jesus with 10 Lepers* 'This man was really sick, what do you do when you're sick?'

Ella 'Go to the Doctor'

Me 'There was no doctor for him to go to so he went to Jesus Christ to help him get better. Jesus healed him and he was all better'

Sian 'That's really good aye'

Me 'Before he turned around and walked away he said th.... th....  th....'

Ella 'Thank you!!!!!!!'

Me 'That's right, he said Thank you, but he was the only one that said thank you, the other men just walked away. That's not very good behaviour is it. Heavenly Father has told us that we need to be thankful for everything we're blessed with'

So we talked about how we can be thankful for all the things we have in our lives
like family, clothes, home, food.

And that's it. Lesson done. Probably 2-3 minutes and we're done. I love it and it's cool to be in there with Ella cause we talked about that story every day the next week and she totally knows it now.

And our activity on that day was a good one too that we did again for FHE this week.

'Guess the missing block'

All Blocks

Which one's gone?

Now a different one's gone. The girls love it cause it's totally at their level and they can have success at it without having help from a parent.
And our next game was 'Movie Match'

The finder has to close their eyes and then I would say 'Ella, find Lilo' and she'd open her eyes and find it. Then she did it for Faith and Faith did it for me

I guess this game could be done with different kinds of any group of things like toys, food, items of clothing, books. Might do a variation of it next week.
