Italian Calzone

Here's how our homemade calzone turned out....yummy!!!! And a winner for all the family, parents, girls and baby son.

Faith was my number 1 kitchen helper as usual (her sister is challenging her for this position though)
When I pointed out that she'd done very chunky mushrooms she said 'that's just the way I want them Mum'

Just before it got 'cheesed' and plaited up. We talked about all the other things that could go on it, pepperoni, capsicum, pineapple, chicken....anything really. Faith suggested tuna and carrot so it could be like a sushi/pizza/calzone. And Ella really wants one with apples in it
I was a bit rough on the plaiting, but you get the idea
We all loved it. The 2 of them were just right for our family.

And the best thing is that all it took was one batch of pizza dough in the breadmaker. Then top with what you like, plait it up and bake for about 15 minutes. This will be a new regular I think. But next time I'll be more adventurous with the toppings and add some kind of herbs to the dough or sprinkle them in the middle to make it more tasty.

And to my pleasant surprise this is what I found in the washing machine when I'd cleared the clothes out yesterday....score!
