Faith's first primary presentation

Today was our primary sacrament presentation. It was soooo cool!

About 3 weeks ago we were given Faith's little strip of paper that she had to memorize. She had it down pat pretty quickly so then we talked about speaking slowly and clearly, not rocking while she said it and not kicking the pulpit (like she did in the practise).

We had a 'dress rehearsal' on Thursday night and then today was D Day. We got there 15 minutes early so they could put on their CTR badge and a special little green hair clip that Pippa made for all the girls. So cute!

I knew Faith knew her part really well and I knew she could say it confidently in front of the TV (she practised with the remote control microphone about 10 times a day!) so I had high hopes for her pulling it off without a hitch.

Gosh was it a proud moment for me when she stood up and held the microphone to say 'Jesus Christ created the earth as a place where I can learn to choose the right'. She might have been nervous but it didn't show a bit. Well done my girl. You just earned yourself a new DVD this week.

It was so sweet to see all the kids get up and say something. I was close to tears quite a few times just thinking about how they're precious little children of God. I can't wait till Ella and Seth are up there too!

Faith sat quite reverently during the rest of the meeting, with a few big yawns scattered in there. They were given a CD of the songs to practise a little while ago and we obviously didn't do that enough cause her singing left a little to be desired. Will work on that for next year.

I got asked to make 24 cupcakes for the primary kids so we got to have Saturday night pudding with the 5 extra ones. Good timing for Uncle Carl to come for a visit.
Gotta love Betty Crocker!

Ella had about 50 gummy bears while I had messy icing hands and couldn't get them off her......so she was pretty happy!

Ella crashed the after party. Where's Wally (Ella)?

Heidi got asked to make lunch packs for the kids and not surprisingly she did an amazingly cool job of it

My baby loved sitting outside with all the big kids. She was the life of the party with all the kids around her. Cracking jokes and playing with them the whole time

Faith sat and ate her lunch really nicely then went off to watch a movie in the primary room. I'm so going to buy some of those sesame street lunch bags. They're so cute and Heidi said they're cheap too. I made all the kids hand them in to me so the primary can keep them and use them again. Was a waste to see cool, clean bags going in the bin.

My gorgeous lil' Seffy Man in the nuddy during Relief Society. Eating his hands again as per usual.

K, I better get back into the kitchen now. We were supposed to be having a family over for dinner so I've got a yummy roast chicken in the oven. They can't make it but the dinner's still on the go for us.....MMmmmmm!
