Primary Presentation 2014

That time of year again and it was soooooooo awesome to help my girls get ready and speak in sacrament. Don't think I'll ever get used to seeing it and lose that excitement I feel as I see them up there
Faith's talk

Ella's one (colours chosen by my rainbow girl!)

Faith was well prepared and confident. No nerves, well not that we could see anyways. She did say she felt a bit nervous, but she appeared to have it all under control.

Her little sissy was a different story. Bobby knew her scripture.....she'd said it about 10 thousand times, each time with a huge smile and hardly a breath from start to finish. But the difference was that my little Bobby Red was nervous about getting up in front of everyone. From the practice the previous week, I knew it was going to be hard for her to do it so I had to really help her have the courage to rise above the nerves.....or help to calm the butterflies in her puku like we talked about. She knew she'd get the Frozen DVD if she did it (thanks aunty Natty), and she'd get a lunch bag afterwards. But I still didn't know if that was enough.

She walked back to me about 5 times crying and literally shaking because she was so scared.....we said a prayer, went to the toilet for a nervous one! and in the end I held her hand while she stood up and said her scripture. Sooo proud of you my darling! I squeezed your little hand while you did it so you knew that Mummy was there for you and you did an awesome job. One of my proudest moments as Mummy ever!!!

This little clown gatecrashed the lunch afterwards....no surprises there

Apologies for my girl's photo faces....not sure what was going on. Can't wait till there's little Seffy there in his suit and Dilly on the end in her matching white outfit!

She was pretty sheepish all day, nice for her to be a bit more on the mellow side of  the usual. (And she had to walk around with her hand in a cup of water all day cause apparently she hasn't been told enough that the hair straightener is hot and she shouldn't touch it under any circumstances)

Cute? Scary? Silly? Beautiful? Not sure what look she was going for here!

FHE - Singing Time

I found these printables for our FHE last night. Time to make a family choir and family band!

The girls and I made a poor attempt to colour them in during the afternoon.....will do a better job later and laminate them when I get around to it.

The aim of the activity wasn't so much to sing hymns in perfect tune, but rather to have fun while singing about what we believe. I really believe that we learn so much through songs and pictures, so I want us all to be full of good lyrics, especially cause we like to watch music TV and the lyrics we hear on there are not so good (we have to change the channel quite often!)

Instead of just singing, we had 'instruments' too.....piano, recorder, bell shaker, little duck clapper and wooden spoon + pot

Because of the rowdiness during our singing with instruments, we finished of with 'I love to see the Temple' without instruments and made temples with our hands instead

Not exactly 'choirs of angels' type stuff, but fun to sing, bang, shake, play our way through some praises unto the Lord.

Refreshments was extra exciting cause each of us got our own trumpet......pretty cool cause the kids we saying 'it's like we went to the dairy and got one'....not the usual 'scoop of icecream in a bowl'

And we still haven't tried the Lewis Road Cremery Chocolate Milk......the hysteria around it is still going strong. I'm happy to wait until it's all died down, but Daddy Joe decided he wanted to try and make his own....750ml dark blue milk with a whole kingsize creamy milk. That guy never does things by halves! So chocolatey that it's still sitting in the fridge waiting for me to have a couple of sips a day!

My big Dilly Girl

Sometimes I get left by myself when I really want to go to bed. Sometimes I cry about it, sometimes I just have a little nap right there and then

Immunisations.....done at home....straight to sleep for 3 hours afterwards.

Typical daytime scene in our house....Dilly on the floor surrounded by some mess or other

Will not be sad to be over this stage my darling!

This is how we see her every night before we go to sleep. Right arm out, left arm cozy

Lovin' superwine style bikkies

Had been saving these for some kind of crafty project, but hadn't come up with anything and they were taking up too much space so they had to go....cool to see how much a baby drinks when they're on formula cause I've never seen this with my other babies.

Had to get a pic of these before I give them back. A good friend gave them to me before I had Faith. They'd been used by her son and daughter years ago, they're now about 19 and 21. So now they've been through my 4 children as well as her 2. Pretty impressive. I'm excited to take them back to her with a pressie in return

Always lip sucking these days. Honestly, she treats her bottom lip like a dummy. The other day she was asleep on me so I pulled her little lip out so she could relax and she started sucking it like crazy again, just like they do if you start to pull a dummy out
Sucking away....

Naughty Mummy put a piece of Whittaker's chocolate in her mouth.....

When I got home from the supermarket this morning and went around to get her out of her carseat, I found her eating some cinnamon donut, thanks to her big brother!
While I went outside to weed the garden with the big kids, cutesy little Dilly put herself to sleep again
She's been falling asleep in the lounge lately......wish I could snuggle up next to you and nod off too lovey

Pizza crusts, one of the best foods for her to do herself. Everything else only lasts about 20 seconds before she drops it.....not the pizza crust though, she went for a good 10 minutes on this!
We LOVE this girl.....my heart almost bursts when I play with her chubby cheeks and she beams back at me. I'm so torn between wanting her to stay like this forever and being so excited to see her grow up, see her walk, listen to her talk. The ongoing conundrum I face with all my babies at every stage....
